Is it free for students?
Yes. Wynnel is free for students, always. Universities fund the cohort they run it with.
Does Wynnel send emails for me?
No. Wynnel never sends anything. It creates drafts in your own Gmail drafts folder — you read, edit and send every email yourself from your own account.
Where do the firm details come from?
From public professional registers (for example, the ASIC Financial Advisers Register) and from firm websites. We do not buy contact lists and we do not scrape private data.
Can two students contact the same firm?
Yes. Every student can be allocated any firm in their track and region — the pool is shared. A firm you have sent won’t be offered to you again for 30 days, but other students can still contact it.
Can I edit the draft before sending?
Yes — and you should. The draft lands in your Gmail drafts folder as a starting point. Read it, fix it, make it sound like you, and send it when you are ready.
What data do you store about me?
Your name, email, university, course, the CV file you upload, your home suburb and postcode, and your career track. Your outreach records (which firms, which drafts, which replies) are stored against your account.
Which industries and regions are covered?
Wynnel is live for financial advice firms in Victoria. We expand by career track and state. If your track or region is not covered yet, tell us via the contact page.
Do I need a Gmail account?
Yes. Drafts are delivered to your own Gmail drafts folder, so you need a Gmail account to use Wynnel. You can revoke Wynnel's access to it at any time from your Google account.
What happens if a firm asks not to be contacted again?
We remove the firm from the pool so no student is ever allocated it again, and we add it to a skip list. A firm can ask this via the contact page at any time.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. You can request deletion of your account and your data via the contact page. We will remove your personal information and your outreach records. See the Privacy page for what that involves.
